College summer hire program
Our Student Training Enrichment Program – STEP, brings you one step closer to full-time employment. RPP/WTP provides summer employment for students from universities and colleges.Eligibility
- You are enrolled in a formal college or university cooperative education program.
- You have satisfactorily completed at least one year of study in engineering or in a professional academic discipline (accounting, finance, business, computer science, etc.).
- For internship and co-op assignments, we hire from local colleges and universities in closest proximity to the hiring RPP/WTP office. Employment Status Summer employment is for a specified period, typically two to four months.
Mentoring
We encourage open communication on an informal basis between mentors and employees. Topics can range from development of management skills to sharing institutional knowledge and experience. Some general goals of the program are:- Confirm commitment to employee learning and growth
- Support the development and retention of employees
- Improve individual and organizational performance
- Encourage the development of leadership competencies
- Confirm commitment to inclusion, mutual respect and diversity
- Ensure that new employees are quickly integrated into the project culture
